The Architectural and Landscape Standards (ALS) form part of the CMS and cover issues relating to design, construction, exterior paint colours and a list of preferred plants for use in Newington.

The Appendix 4 schedule of paint colours for Precinct 2 - noting that some of the original colours have been discontinued. To address this, there is an updated paint colours schedule (in pdf format) attached below which indicates current Dulux colour names as at August 2016. Please note the extract below from the Architectural and Landscape Standards mandates houses in P2 be painted in themes from the schedule.
3.1.5 Colours
The existing house colours have been selected to create a strong streetscape of warmth and colour with touches of strong colours.
To maintain this image a list of general paint colours and trim colours for the housing is attached (Appendix 4). Any future repainting is to use colours from the schedule.
Appendix 4 refers to Dulux colours. Equivalent colours from other paint suppliers can be used.
Please be advised that the following was resolved at the EC meeting held on 20 April 2011: RESOLVED that the report from Integrated Design Group dated 24 March 2011 be tabled and the contents of such adopted. The document is published here for owners to view as the interpretation of the Architectural Landscape Standards being used by the committee as a reference when considering applications.
