Flags at half mast 12 October
In 2007 the NSW Premier announced that 12 October was the official New South Wales Terrorism and Homicide Victims Remembrance Day.
12 October marks the anniversary of the 2002 Bali Bombings, which killed 202 people including 88 Australians. NSW citizens have also been killed and injured in subsequent terrorist bombings in Bali and London.
As a mark of respect for the official New South Wales Terrorism and Homicide Victims Remembrance Day, it is requested that flags on all NSW Government Buildings and Establishments be flown at half-mast from dawn to dusk on Wednesday 12 October 2011.
Sydney Olympic Park Authority will observe the appropriate flag protocol.
